"My story begins with, 'Once upon a time, people were heroic..."   I felt a warm but firm hand grip my left shoulder as I stood in a small, simple post office on the quaint island of Bimini in the Bahamas.  I turned, and facing me was an elderly, black gentleman with silver hair and smiling face.  The twinkle in his eye was all the introduction we needed.  In a moment he spoke, “Big changes, they comin’ mon. And you know what I mean!”           As I walked out into the hot tropical sun to ponder his words and the adventure before me, I couldn’t help reflecting on the team of divers searching for evidence of the lost continent of Atlantic nearby.   We had passed them coming into Bimini.  I thought, what ancient secret does Atlantis hold for modern man?  This book is filled with “ancient” wisdom.  It is just as valuable today was it was first taught.  And there are “big changes” coming.           "Perhaps the biggest changes are no so much external as they are internal.  This book is about those changes."   It is based on the examples of a few people who have had a very positive impact on my life.  People that I admire and greatly respect.  For the most part, some names have been changed, time frames have been juggled, and events have been fictionalized – except in the chapters concerning Percy Ross – these events occurred as I wrote them with the exception of the location of the city and the name of the hotel.   If you find me a skilled storyteller, then you will logically ask, “Where does fact end and fiction begin? Does such a substance as orichalcum exist? Are there advanced cryogenic laboratories in secret locations that are resurrecting people, plants, and animals? And does a sacred book, the Luminosus Vitaae contain the true story of the history of life on earth and its future?  Are there people who never die?”  Well, let me say that this is all true – in my story.  But I promise, if you have the courage to stick around a few years or so, you will conclude that these things are no so fantastical after all.   "The Luminous Life was written to depict heroes as they should be, mentors to emulate."   I am certain that men like Rosen and his friends would be considered as strange as men from Saturn in the present world of the wimp.  My heroes are not ingratiating cowards or compromising phonies.  They are rational lovers of truth.  They are as bold, forthright, and virtuous as they are kind, warm, and tender.   I hope this book gives you the encouragement to stretch and reach for your highest self. May you break down all the prison walls of limitation.  May you fly into the light of the Luminous Life!   There are many who have already accepted the challenge.  How can I think the vast garden of friends that have gathered around me?  I dare not mention one without mentioning all – thank you to all who have embraced the ideal of living the Luminous Life!
